Welcome to Spitshine Records! We are a Los Angeles record label that exists to document amazing artists that may otherwise go unheard. We exist without any desire for acceptance from mainstream, Clear Channel–dominated radio - without any major label backing. In fact, we exist in spite of all of that.

We are inspired by the undying spirit of upstart labels such as Mr. Lady, Dischord, K Records, Chainsaw, Kill Rock Stars, Outpunk, Heartcore, and Agitprop! Records. And by the DIY ethic of Rudy Bleu and Scutterzine, Faggo, Holy Titclamps and Larry-Bob in San Francisco. We run on the same octane and defiant attitude that carried Pansy Division through years of touring and playing for redneck Green Day fans across the country and recording six (hey, seven!) albums. And never backing down. Never ‘prettifying’ themselves or their sound. Never using the scene as a stepping stone. We exist in appreciation of every great show we've seen and every CD that's ever raised the hair on our necks.

This is a call to arms. If you are passionate about music. If you believe the personal is as political as it gets. If you want to support NEW sounds, new voices. If you want to be part of a revolution. If you think Cher sucks. Then step right up, comrade. Oh yeah.... and cheers!
