They sprouted from out of a crack in the pavement-covered
ground of Los Angeles at a time when the first wave of LA queer punk
was officially dead. The heroes were gone. Club Sucker was in it's last
year. Club Fuck was a distant memory. But the kids in BR were punkasfuck
and they just didn't care. Ryan, KT, Bilito. Plus Frisky. Minus KT.
Plus Sugar. Pluses, minuses, whatever. What it added up to is what matters:
nothing less than the incendiary resurgence of queercore. |
